SALFA
Sara
The Princess
The castle is big, the heart is bigger
In a tall castle with three towers, there lived a princess named Sara.
Every night they lit a hundred candles. So the people outside could see their way.
One night a hard wind came. And the candles went out, one after another.
The castle went dark. And they told Sara: stay inside. Inside is safer.
Sara stood at the window. And saw the people outside, not knowing where to walk.
She lifted the crown from her head and set it on the table. She would not be needing it.
She found one candle still burning. Only one. It was enough.
She opened the castle door. And she went out.
Sara went from door to door. And every candle she lit, lit another.
Until the whole town was light. Brighter than before.
They came out to see who had done it. And they found Sara, with no crown, and a candle in her hand.
Sara slept with the crown still on the table. The bravery had never been in it. It had always been in her.
